The new contract for CWA-IBEW that went into effect on October 21, 2012 has a few different timelines. Listed below you will find out what the next steps are as we head into the new year with a new contract. Effective immediately: - A 2.25% raise is effective October 21, 2012.
- The medical restriction plan is effective October 21, 2012.
- Opt out of medical coverage or convert from Employee plus Family to Employee Only coverage for the months of November and December 2012, you must call the Verizon Benefits Center managed by Aon Hewitt at 877-489-2367 between October 22 and October 26.
Effective November 2012: - A monthly contribution will start on November 1, 2012. This is $30 for the Employee Only and $60 for the Employee plus Family coverage plans.
- An $800 signing bonus will be given on November 2, 2012 for weekly paid employees and November 9, 2012 for biweekly paid employees.
Effective January 1, 2013: - No changes to the attendance policy until January 1, 2013.
- Lump sum payout policy for new attendance plan for using four days or fewer of incidental absence begins January 1, 2013 with payout at the end of the calendar year.
- Health Reimbursement Account of $850 for full-time employees and $425 for part-time employees begins January 1, 2013.
- Tuition Assistance will have a yearly cap of $8,000 beginning January 1, 2013.
